Not exactly. It is up to the doctor’s discretion. With patients that have 2 pets, the doctor will usually include the name and details of both your pets in a single letter for a minimal additional fee to your existing ESA letter.
We do not provide ESA letters for travel post the DOT rule change for emotional support animals. Mental health patients were earlier allowed to take their pets on a flight if they were well behaved and could sit either in their owner’s lap or in the footprint of their seat without paying any extra cost. But since March 2021, these rules were changed by the Department of Transportation and airlines are no longer accepting ESA letters. All ESAs, if allowed on a flight, travel in the cargo hold with other animals.
Once you are approved by the doctor on the call, your ESA letter will reach your email within the same day. In case you don’t qualify for an ESA letter, you will receive a full refund of the fee that you paid.
